About the project
The brief asked me to create a flat pack furniture piece, limited by weight and size.
Fulfilling the brief, I decided to develop 'Alfred', a free-standing unit designed to hold the items you need to place down temporarily.
Made up of 14 parts, Alfred is simple and effortless to assemble and can be packed away at any time.
Assembly
Assembled using the countersunk bolts provided, one follows a step by step instruction manual for assembly.
The column screws together with captive nuts, sandwiching the brackets. The shelving can then be attached.
Material selection
Mild steel brackets - powder coated.
Iroko hardwood column - machine turned.
Birch plywood shelves and brackets - CNC cut.
